President and Principal Engineer – Mine Ventilation

Charles is a mining engineer who graduated from Université Laval, where he completed both a cooperative bachelor's degree and a master’s degree specializing in mine ventilation. He brings over 20 years of experience in the field.

After working for eight years at Genivar and RPA, he joined the team at Éléonore Mine in Northern Quebec, where he held various engineering roles, including supervising the ventilation department. He also worked at Howden, a recognized provider of ventilation solutions.

In 2019, he founded CGM Expert, where he now serves as Principal Engineer. Charles is known for his hands-on approach, his rigor, and his ongoing commitment to delivering effective solutions that reflect the realities of the industry.

Project Manager – Mine and Tunnel Ventilation

Paulo is a mining engineer who graduated from McGill University, where he is currently completing a master’s degree in mine ventilation. He joined the CGM Expert team in 2022 as a project manager.

Before joining CGM Expert, he held mine ventilation positions at Agnico Eagle (Meliadine Mine), Pretivm (Brucejack Mine), and Nyrstar (Myra Falls Mine). These experiences allowed him to work on a variety of assignments, including ventilation planning, standardization of designs, management of blasting gases, and implementation of ventilation-on-demand systems.

Paulo also served as a lecturer at McGill University, where he taught underground ventilation in the summer of 2022. He participated as a delegate at the North American Mine Ventilation Symposium in 2019 and 2021.

Project Manager – Mine and Tunnel Ventilation

Jules holds a degree in mining engineering from Université Laval and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Prior to university, he completed a college diploma in mineral technology with a specialization in mining operations at Cégep de Thetford.

He began his career as a mining technician from 2012 to 2015, working at the Persévérance, Bracemac-McLeod, and Lac Bachelor mines. He then returned to school to complete his bachelor’s degree, which allowed him to continue his career as an engineer at the Renard and Raglan mines. There, he worked in planning, drilling and blasting, and ventilation within technical services departments.

Since 2023, he has been a project manager at CGM Expert, where he brings his field experience and versatility to the team.

Project Coordinator and Technical Compliance Manager

Éléonore graduated in Civil Engineering Technology from Cégep Limoilou in 2017 and went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering at Université Laval in 2021.

She began her career in the mining industry working in short-term planning and mine ventilation, notably at Canadian Malartic Mine and the Windfall Project between 2021 and 2023. Since 2025, she has held the position of Engineering Technician and Technical Compliance Lead at CGM Expert, where she ensures that all deliverables meet the professional standards of the OIQ and include all required technical information.

Project Manager – Mine and Tunnel Ventilation

Michael holds a degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Université Laval and is a candidate to the engineering profession (CPI) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

He began his career as a site supervisor with WSP, where he contributed to the planning and supervision of geotechnical work at the tailings facility of the Bloom Lake mine. He later joined ArcelorMittal’s integrated operations, first as a mining analyst and then as mine controller. In that role, he was actively involved in operational optimization, equipment fleet management, and the strategic coordination of daily mining activities.

Since 2025, he has worked as a project manager at CGM Expert, specializing in mine and tunnel ventilation. He draws on his organizational skills and practical understanding of field operations to support clients in their underground projects.
